The LS3 is built for small part work where speed and accuracy both matter. It moves parts quickly, presses them into place with control, and works hand in hand with a camera to find parts on its own.
The arm reaches speeds of up to 7200 mm per second. It moves small parts from tray to fixture, or from feeder to conveyor, in a fraction of a second. This keeps your line moving at a steady pace all shift long.
The vertical axis pushes with up to 100 N of force, and the arm repeats its position within ±0.01 mm. That makes it a good fit for inserting pins, connectors and components that need a firm, accurate press.
A built in Ethernet port on the arm lets you plug a camera in close to the tool. The robot can then locate parts that are not perfectly placed, check orientation, and pick them correctly without fixed jigs for every part.
Easier to Set Up. Less to Maintain.
Many small robot cells lose time on things that have nothing to do with production. Camera cables run the full length of the arm, encoder batteries need scheduled replacement, and bulky cabling takes up space inside the machine.
The LS3 removes these headaches by design. The camera connects right on the arm, the encoder runs without a battery, and the cable ducting exits diagonally at the rear so the robot sits lower and fits into tighter cells.
Getting the LS3 running is simple and straightforward.
- 1Mount the robot on your table or machine frame.
- 2Connect it to the Epson RC90-B controller and plug your camera into the arm.
- 3Teach the motion using Epson RC+ software with simple graphical screens.
- 4Run production with no encoder battery to replace.
Where the LS3 Fits on Your Line
The LS3 suits light, repetitive tasks that need both speed and accuracy. Here are four common jobs it handles well.
The robot picks connectors, pins or small components and inserts them into circuit boards. Its accurate positioning and controlled press force help avoid bent leads and damaged boards. A camera on the arm can check board position before each insertion.
The LS3 moves parts between feeders, trays and conveyors at high speed. With a camera, it can sort parts by type or reject faulty ones. This frees operators from repetitive handling work.
With a dispenser or screwdriver mounted on the arm, the LS3 follows the same path every cycle. Glue beads stay consistent and screws land in the right spot. Built in air tubes and signal wiring keep tool connections neat.
The cleanroom version meets ISO Class 4 and uses bellows on the vertical axis to contain particles. It suits handling of medical device parts, semiconductor components and other products that must stay clean.
Find Your LS3 Model Number
Every LS3 comes with a 3 kg payload and a 400 mm arm. Pick your installation environment below and we will show you the exact model number to ask for.
The standard version has a 150 mm vertical stroke. The cleanroom version uses a 120 mm vertical stroke with bellows to keep particles contained.
What Makes This System Work
-
400 mm Reach with 3 kg Payload
The two arm sections give a 400 mm working reach, enough to cover a typical small assembly station. The arm carries up to 3 kg, including the gripper or tool you mount on it.
-
High Speed on Every Axis
The arm moves at up to 7200 mm per second, the vertical axis at up to 1100 mm per second, and the wrist rotates at up to 2600 degrees per second. Fast motion on every axis keeps cycle times short.
-
Battery Free Encoder
The robot remembers its position without a backup battery. Your maintenance team has one less item to track, and there is no risk of downtime from a flat encoder battery.
-
Built In Wiring and Air for Your Tools
The arm carries an RJ45 Ethernet port (CAT 5e), a 15 pin D sub signal connector, and three air tubes (one 4 mm and two 6 mm, up to 0.59 MPa). Cameras, grippers and sensors connect without loose external cables.
-
Standard or ISO Class 4 Cleanroom
Choose the standard version for a normal factory floor, or the cleanroom version for ISO Class 4 environments. Both use the same tabletop mounting and the same controller.
-
Compact, Lightweight Body
The robot weighs only 14 kg, and its diagonal rear ducting keeps the profile low. It runs on single phase AC 200 to 240 V power and carries CE certification.

Built for Electronics and Precision Manufacturers
The LS3 serves electronics, E&E, medical device and semiconductor production teams. It suits factories that handle small, light parts at high volume and need consistent quality every cycle.
You need steady output without depending on more operators for repetitive handling. The LS3 runs fast, consistent cycles and needs very little routine maintenance.
You want a robot that fits a tight cell and integrates cleanly with cameras and tools. The LS3 has wiring and air built into the arm and a low profile body.
You need accurate, repeatable handling that protects product quality. The LS3 repeats within ±0.01 mm and comes in an ISO Class 4 cleanroom version.
