Meet the UR10g-1750: Long Reach. Ethernet at the Wrist. IP65.
The UR10g-1750 is a Universal Robots g-Series collaborative robot with 1750 mm reach and a 10 kg maximum payload. It is built to connect more at the tool: gigabit Ethernet, 24 or 48 Vdc power and safety inputs at the tool flange let cameras, sensors and electric tools connect at the wrist without a long cable along the arm. With IP65 protection and ± 0.08 mm pose repeatability, it suits machine tending, palletising, vision guided picking and assembly in Malaysian factories.

UR10G-1750 OVERVIEW
Key Features:
- Long reach, small footprint: The arm reaches 1750 mm from a base footprint of only Ø204 mm, so one robot covers a large working area without taking much floor space.
- 10 kg maximum payload: Handles grippers and parts up to 10 kg. The allowed payload reduces as the centre of gravity moves further from the tool flange, so check the payload chart in the techsheet.
- Ethernet, power and safety inputs at the tool flange: An M12 connector gives 1 gigabit Ethernet at the wrist, and an M8 power connector supplies 24 or 48 Vdc at 3 A continuous (5 A peak for 2 seconds). An M8 8 pin I/O connector with safety input is also built in, so a camera or tool needs only a short cable to the flange.
- Integrated force-torque sensor: Measures force up to ± 150.0 N and torque up to ± 10.0 Nm in x, y and z at the tool flange, with no extra sensor to install.
- Fast and repeatable: Maximum TCP speed is 5 m/s, and pose repeatability is ± 0.08 mm per ISO 9283.
- IP65 protection: The arm is rated IP65 for industrial production environments.
- 23 configurable safety functions: Safety is certified by TÜV Rheinland to EN ISO 13849-1 and EN ISO 10218-1, with TÜV Rheinland cTÜVus and UL 1740 for North America.
- Mount it any way, see status at a glance: The arm can be mounted in any orientation, and a light ring at the robot base shows the robot status.
Benefits:
- No long cable along the arm: Cameras, sensors and higher power electric tools plug in at the wrist, so there is no long external cable to tangle, wear out or limit wrist rotation.
- Cover more of your cell with one robot: The 1750 mm reach lets one UR10g-1750 serve a bigger machine, a full pallet area or several stations from one position.
- Force sensitive tasks made simple: The built-in force-torque sensor supports tasks that need controlled contact, such as insertion and finishing, without adding an external sensor.
- Ready for tough production areas: IP65 protection keeps the arm protected against dust and water jets in demanding factory conditions.
- Flexible layout: Arm mounting in any orientation means you can mount the robot on the floor, a wall, the ceiling or a gantry to suit your layout.
- Safer work beside people: 23 configurable safety functions let operators work close to the robot after a proper risk assessment.
Applications:
- Machine tending: The 1750 mm reach helps the robot load and unload larger CNC machines, or serve more than one machine.
- Palletising and case packing: Long reach and a 10 kg maximum payload suit cartons and bags on standard pallet areas.
- Vision guided pick and place: Gigabit Ethernet and power at the tool flange make it simple to mount a camera at the wrist.
- Quality inspection: A wrist camera connected through the M12 Ethernet connector can check parts at many positions.
- Assembly and screw driving: The integrated force-torque sensor supports controlled insertion and fastening.
- Sanding and polishing: The force-torque sensor helps keep a steady contact force on the part surface.
- Gantry and overhead cells: Arm mounting in any orientation allows ceiling, wall and gantry installations.
IS THE UR10G-1750 RIGHT FOR YOUR JOB?
The Universal Robots g-Series is not built to lift more. It is built to connect more at the tool. The UR10g-1750 brings Ethernet, power and safety inputs to the tool flange, so a camera or tool connects at the wrist instead of through a long cable along the arm.
What Gen 7 Brings, and What Is g-Series Only
| Part | What it gives you | Works with |
| CB7 controller, TP7 teach pendant, PolyScope X software | More I/O, 3 gigabit Ethernet ports and the new programming platform | g-Series, e-Series and UR Series arms |
| Tool flange with Ethernet, power and safety inputs | Cameras, sensors and higher power tools connect at the wrist | g-Series arms only |
| SP7 Smart Panel (optional) | Teach at the tool with Freedrive and 3 programmable buttons | g-Series arms only |
If you mainly want the new controller, an e-Series arm can also run on the CB7. Choose the g-Series when your job needs the new tool flange.
Jobs That Need the g-Series
- Camera on the arm: The job streams high resolution video from an arm mounted camera back to the controller, for AI vision, inspection or 3D picking.
- Tight spaces: The arm works inside a car body or a cramped machine, where an external cable can catch or get damaged.
- Full use of g-Series features: The job uses the tool cable, tool power and SP7 Smart Panel together, so the features justify the investment.
Jobs Where the e-Series Is Enough
- An external tool cable causes no problem in the job.
- Straightforward pick and place.
- The camera is fixed above the cell, not mounted on the arm.
Why External Cables Matter
- Wear and noise: Cables along the arm can get tangled, get damaged and make abnormal noise.
- Limited wrist rotation: An external cable limits how far the wrist can turn. A tool connected at the flange has no such limit.
- Unplanned stops: A damaged external cable stops production, and replacing it needs a skilled person.
Good to Know
- Short tool cable: A short cable from the camera or tool to the flange connector is still needed. What goes away is the long cable along the arm.
- No air passage: The tool flange has no air passage. Pneumatic or vacuum grippers still need an external air hose along the arm.
