The Problem with Manual Tray Separation

Plastic trays used for cake rolls, mooncakes, bread, and similar bakery products are supplied in stacked form. Before these trays can be fed into a primary packaging machine, each tray must be separated from the stack one at a time. Done manually, this step takes significant labour time and effort, and it becomes a bottleneck that limits how fast your packaging line can run.

Automated Tray Separation at High Speed

We created a machine that separates stacked plastic trays automatically at high speed, dispensing up to 60 pieces per minute. The machine loads a tall stack of trays into a reservoir, uses a calibrated friction mechanism to pull one tray at a time from the stack, and verifies each tray using suction force before releasing it onto the conveyor line. This removes the manual separation step entirely and keeps your primary packaging machine fed at a consistent rate.
