The LA3 is made for the everyday handling work that keeps a production line moving. It transfers parts fast, places them accurately, and presses them firmly into position.
The LA3 completes a standard cycle in about 0.4 seconds, with arm speeds up to 6,000 mm per second. Your line keeps a steady pace without adding more operators.
With ±0.01 mm repeatability, the LA3 returns to the same point every cycle. Parts sit correctly in trays, jigs and fixtures, so you get fewer rejects downstream.
The vertical axis pushes down with up to 100 N of force. This is useful for pressing pins, connectors and small parts into place during assembly.

Everyday Handling Jobs the LA3 Takes Over
The LA3 suits repetitive handling work where parts are light and accuracy matters. Here are four common jobs it does well on Malaysian production lines.
The LA3 picks components from trays or feeders and places them onto PCBs, carriers or jigs. Its ±0.01 mm repeatability keeps each part in the correct position. This frees operators from tiring, repetitive placing work.
The LA3 inserts pins, connectors, bushings and other small parts into housings. Up to 100 N of downward force helps seat each part firmly. Every unit gets the same insertion, cycle after cycle.
The LA3 moves parts between trays, conveyors, test fixtures and machines. Its 400 mm reach covers a full workstation from one fixed position. Your operators can focus on checking quality instead of moving parts.
The cleanroom model, LA3-A401C, complies with ISO Class 4 under ISO 14644-1. It handles semiconductor and medical device parts where airborne particles must be controlled. Bellows on the vertical axis help keep particles in.

The LA3 uses the same Epson RC+ software as Epson's high end robots. Its graphical screens are easy for first time users, and skills carry over to other Epson models.

The LA3 works with Epson's RC800L controller. It runs on AC200 to 240V single phase power with a maximum rated capacity of 0.8 kVA.

Standard and Cleanroom Models
Choose the standard model for normal factory floors, or the ISO Class 4 cleanroom model for controlled environments. Both carry CE and KCs safety markings.
